Course summary
This program gives the opportunity to students to choose from a wide variety of courses in the life sciences and related fields allowing them to customize the degree.
Program modules
The following are the modules: General Biology Option Courses: 19 credit hours: A minimum of 9 hours at the 200 to 400 level from any of the following: biology (BIO), botany (BOT), zoology (ZOOL), Remaining credit hours must be earned in approved courses from at least three of the following areas: anatomy (ANAT), anthropology (ANTH), biology (BIO), biotechnology (BIOT), botany (BOT), chemistry (CHEM), computer science (CS), geography (GEOG), geology (GEOL), mathematical science (MATHS), natural resources and environmental management (NREM), physics (PHYCS), physiology and health science (PHYSL and HSC, respectively), psychological science (PSYSC), zoology (ZOOL).
Entry requirement for international students
Applicants must have at least a 2.0 grade point average (GPA) on a 4.0 scale and must have completed a minimum of 12 years of primary and secondary school, undertaking a university-preparatory curriculum. Departments may set a higher requirement than a score of 550/79 (TOEFL) or 6.5 (IELTS) for their majors.
