Course summary
The program begins with a series of foundation courses that teach the history and conceptual and technical skills of drawing in two and three dimensions. In their core studies, students explore industrial design materials, processes, digital and traditional rendering and model making, human factors, and the legal and ethical implications of design. The coursework emphasizes research, concept ideation, and presentation in response to realistic design briefs. Training in advanced design, imaging, and prototyping technologies provides a real-world experience that facilitates a smooth transition from student life to a professional career. The student's senior year culminates in two thesis classes and a comprehensive portfolio of design work.
Entry requirement for international students
Minimum required TOEFL scores for admission is TOEFL - 500 (paper based test), 61 (internet based test), 173 (computer based test); IELTS - 6; MELAB - 72; SAT - 450 (Verbal); and ACT - 18 (Reading).
