Course summary
This program is dedicated to developing highly respected professionals who are competent in diverse situations. Graduates from the East Carolina University Athletic Training Program are well-prepared for the rigors of the profession, have a high commitment to service and are dedicated to providing superior quality of health care. Athletic training students from East Carolina University appreciate the importance of professional development, maintain positive working relationships with a variety of dynamic individuals, and successfully balance academic and clinical demands.
Entry requirement for international students
Students must have completion of ATEP 1800, and 2810 with a grade C or better, current CPR and First Aid certification from an approved provider. They should have the successful completion of all Level I Proficiencies must be completed and signed off by an appropriate athletic trainer, no violations of the NATA or ECU Athletic Training Code of Ethics, or ECU Honor Code and 200 clinical hours (fall hours and spring semesters combined) shadowing ECU athletic trainers/athletic training majors. They should possess a cumulative G.P.A. of 2.0 or above. They must have a completion of Level 5 of the INTERLINK Language Center and the score of 420 on the SAT I Critical Reading or 17 on the Combined English/Writing section of the ACT. Non-native speakers of English are required to provide an evidence of English proficiency of TOEFL with a minimum score of 500 on paper-based or 173 on computer-based or 61 on internet based test and IELTS score of 5.5 or higher is required for admission.
