Course summary
Students seeking certification should consult with the discipline coordinator as early as possible to make certain they meet certification requirements as well as those set by the university for graduation. In addition to the program of courses outlined below, the state provides alternative pathways to teacher certification.

Entry requirement for international students
Students should possess High School Diploma and should have GPA score of at least 2.50 on a 4.00 (USA) scale or be in the upper-half of their graduating class. Applicants who have a GPA of 2.75 on a 4.00 scale or are in the upper-half of the class must have ACT composite score of at least 19 and SAT score of 870-900. Applicants who have 2.50 on a 4.00 scale or are in the upper two-thirds of the class must have ACT composite score of at least 23 and SAT score of 1030-1050. Students should have TOEFL scores which includes 527 on a paper based test, 197 on computer-based test or 71 on an internet based test. IELTS Score includes 6.0. Students need not submit TOEFLE/IELTS score, if they can prove English is recognized as their countries' native language and if they have attended a US High School for more than 1 year.
