Entry requirement for international students

To be assured entrance into management honors courses within the BS/MS, students must first be accepted to the Albert Dorman Honors College. Students with SAT scores of 1250 or higher, who are in the top 15 % of their high school class and who have a wide range of interests are encouraged to apply. Those who do not meet all of the criteria can be considered for Honors if they present otherwise excellent credentials.

The Albert Dorman Honors College, founded in 1985 as the Institute Honors Program, became a college in 1995 with an endowment from Albert Dorman and other generous donors. The Honors College exists to help the brightest students achieve their full potential. Over 625 Honors students excel in Engineering, Architecture, Management, the Sciences and Liberal Arts, or Computing Sciences. Many are also gifted in the arts or athletics. Students carried out over 300 research projects and internships in the sciences, mathematics, engineering and technology, including: Clinical research comparing the advantages of two types of grafts in spinal fusions; Research in developing a high throughput screen for increased protein activity. Nearly half of Honors graduates go on to graduate and professional schools, an exceptionally high proportion for technological universities, where 30% is more typical.
