Entry requirement for international students
The TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) or the ELPT (English Language Proficiency Test) is required of all applicants with fewer than three years of full-time study where English is the primary language of instruction. Only scores mailed directly from the Educational Testing Service (ETS) will be accepted. After notice of acceptance to the University as a prenursing major, students should contact the School of Nursing for information regarding advisement for entry into the major. Advising is available through individual or group sessions. Refer to the nursing web site at www.sjsu.edu/nursing for more detail, dates, times, and rooms. The application form for the School of Nursing is also available on the web site. All applications must be accompanied by official sealed transcripts of all college work, proof of admission to SJSU, passing score on the Writing Skills Test, and a score from the entrance examination, the TEAS test.
