Course summary
A student at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences or the University or Arkansas Clinton School of Public Service may pursue the Master of Public Health (MPH) and Master of Public Service (MPS) degrees under a concurrent degree program which allows cross-credit for specified courses. The concurrent program offers a potential savings of credit hours in the total number of credit hours otherwise required for both degrees. A student in the concurrent program must complete all the requirements for the MPH degree as specified by the Boozman College of Public Health, and all requirements for the MPS degree as specified by the Clinton School of Public Service.

Entry requirement for international students
An applicant who is a graduate of a regionally accredited institution in the U.S., or of a similar foreign university whose requirements for the bachelor's degree are substantially equivalent to those at the University of Arkansas, may be considered for admission to the Graduate School. In addition to this, they should have equivalent of at least 16 years schooling; have pursued a curriculum comparable to one at the University of Arkansas; have earned at least a 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) grade point average on the last 60 hours of bachelor's degree course work (approximately last two years of a four-year degree program). International students should have obtained a minimum TOEFL score of 550 (paper- based)/79 (internet-based) or a 6.5 on the IELTS.
