Course summary

This program in Pharmacy is a dual degree program in collaboration with Idaho State University (ISU). Under ordinary circumstances, students will attend C of I for three years and then enter the ISU Professional Doctor of Pharmacy program (Pharm.D.) for the next four years. When students have successfully completed the first two years of the ISU Doctor of Pharmacy program, they will be granted a Bachelor of Science degree from C of I. When they successfully complete the final two years of the Doctor of Pharmacy curriculum, they will receive a Pharm.D. from ISU.

BIO-120 Frontiers in Biology and Lab, BIO-220 Organismal Biology and Lab, BIO-303 Human Anatomy, BIO-304 Human Physiology, BIO-330 Cell Biology, BIO-360 Microbiology and Lab, MAT-151 Calculus I, CHE-141 General Chemistry I and Lab, CHE-142 General Chemistry II and Lab, CHE-301 Organic Chemistry I and Lab, CHE-302 Organic Chemistry II and Lab, ECO-271 Principles of Microeconomics or POE-263 Introduction to Political Economy, PHY-231 General Physics (Lab optional) or PHY-271 Analytical Physics (Lab optional).

Entry requirement for international students

Students must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 in all areas of the prerequisite courses, as well as the most recent 60 units of completed course work, and must apply for the ISU program by January of their senior year. Students must also take either the GRE exam or the Miller Analogy Test and complete at least 80 hours of experience, in two different areas of practice, under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, before making application.
