Course summary

This program combines a strong base of biological sciences and an outstanding clinical education, with a focus on application of latest research findings. Students have the opportunity to utilize innovative educational methodologies, including on-line learning activities. The outstanding clinical education program, featuring patient-centered and student-centered General Practices, simulates the structure of a dental practice. Various cooperative efforts with local, state, and federal agencies provide dental services for special-needs populations. Dental graduates are well prepared to enter advanced dental education programs and to practice their professions in a wide range of private practice, public service, and academic settings.

Entry requirement for international students

Students should have evidence of academic accomplishment (e.g. GPA). Students should have a minimum of bachelors’ degree in a relevant discipline, field of study or profession (e.g. biology, engineering, exercise physiology, exercise science, kinesiology, medicine, nursing, occupational therapy, physical therapy). Students should have obtained minimum TOEFL score of 550 for paper-based tests, 213 for computer-based tests, 80 for the internet-based tests and a minimum GRE scores, typically over 1000 for combined verbal and quantitative, or 1100 if either is less than 500.
