Course summary

This program will be well prepared for the students to reach the highest professional ambition with an earned doctorate. It will also prepare them for teaching at the college and university level. Most importantly, their ability to be a successful and effective leader in their educational institution and in the field of education will be strengthened. The program requires the completion of a minimum of 90 semester hours beyond the bachelor's degree and a dissertation. Also, students must successfully complete an oral and written comprehensive examination. The dissertation must be completed within four years of the comprehensive oral examination.

Entry requirement for international students

Students to be considered for admission must have completed a bachelor’s degree from an accredited U.S. institution, or the equivalent from an international institution with good academic good standing in the institution last attended. They must have obtained any one of the following scores: a GPA of at least 2.75 on all undergraduate course work at an accredited United States institution in fulfillment of the requirements for a baccalaureate degree; a GPA of at least 3.0 on all graduate course work at an accredited United States institution in fulfillment of the requirements for a graduate degree; or an acceptable GRE scores with verbal score of above 400 and quantitative score of above 400. Also students whose native language is not English must demonstrate their proficiency in English language either with a TOEFL scores of at least 550 on the written test (213 on the computer based test, 79 on the Internet Based Test with 16 in each section) or IELTS scores of at least 6.5.
