Course summary
This program brings together faculty and students who understand their work to be largely in the service of constructive (rather than purely historical or exegetical) goals. Students will be expected to focus their work within one of the three areas comprised by the Committee, but they will also be expected to gain an understanding of the relations among these areas, and to do at least one of their written examinations outside the Committee.
Entry requirement for international students
Students should have an Master of Arts degree or its equivalent with a good academic record from an accredited college or university. Students to all programs are required to take the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) the results are valid for 5 years. All international students whose native language is not English are required to take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) having a score of 600 or higher on the old Paper Based TOEFL, 250 or higher on Computer Based TOEFL, or 104 or higher on the new Internet Based or International English Language Testing System (IELTS) having minimum required scores or an overall score of 7, with sub scores of 7 each are required for admission.
