Course summary
This program is the entry-level degree for people who want to become physical therapists. At the University of Illinois at Chicago, students must complete eight terms of didactic and clinical education that includes lecture courses, laboratory courses, seminars, and clinical internships.

The course work includes PT 600 Introduction to Physical Therapy, ANAT 441 Gross Human Anatomy, ANAT 414 Neuroanatomy, GCLS 500 Physiology, PT 605 Functional Histology, PT 620 Clinical Applications, PT 624 Therapeutic Applications, PT 631 Musculoskeletal Dysfunction I, PT 633 Neuromuscular Dysfunction I, PT 635 Cardiopulmonary Dysfunction, PT 640 Clinical Internship I and PT 638 Integration and Assessment I.
Entry requirement for international students
Students must have a bachelor's degree or master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution with a minimum grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale for the final 60 semester hours of undergraduate work and all post-baccalaureate credit, GRE general test score of 1000 minimum combined for verbal and quantitative, letters of recommendation and personal statement. For international students, TOEFL score of 550 for paper based is required.
