Course summary
This program trains individuals with baccalaureate degrees in engineering, applied mathematics, and the sciences and provides them with the synthesis, design, and analysis skills necessary to contribute effectively to the advancement of technology in health and medical care. The Ph.D program is specifically designed to provide graduate students and engineering professionals with the knowledge and skills necessary to transfer recent developments in the basic sciences into commercially viable products and processes. Training of the student is accomplished by exposing the individual to the biology, engineering, and business concepts critical to succeeding in the biomedical research and development environment.
Entry requirement for international students
Students must hold a bachelors degree with a minimum grade point average of 3.0. Applicants whose first or native language is not English must demonstrate proficiency in English prior to matriculation. To be considered for admission; an applicant must present an acceptable score on the TOEFL or IELTS test. They should have obtained a minimum score of 550 on paper based test; 213 on computer based test and; 80 on internet based test. An overall score of at least 6.5 with no sub-section below 6 is required on the International English Language Testing System exam (IELTS).
