Course summary
The Construction specialization examines construction of all types and prepares the student for career roles such as project manager, construction superintendent, and estimator. The program teaches methodologies for managing cost control and processes through courses in contracting, scheduling, and business management. A combination of all coursework applies to any graduate who desires to sit for the residential or general contractor’s exam.

Principles of Financial Accounting, Principles of Managerial Accounting, College Algebra, Trigonometry, Precalculus Algebra, Analytic Geometry and Calculus I, General Physics I, etc.
Entry requirement for international students
The University of West Florida encourages applications for admission from qualified students regardless of gender, culture, religion, ethnic background, age, marital status, or disability. Students with documented visual impairments, hearing impairments, motor impairments, or specific learning disabilities may petition for substitution of admission requirements provided such substitution does not significantly alter the nature of the program for which admission is being sought. Admission to the University is often contingent upon the subsequent receipt of satisfactory and official college, university, or high school transcripts; verification of associate of arts or baccalaureate degrees; and verification of high school graduation. Official test results from the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) are required for all graduate applicants except for those students requesting admission to the College of Business. The GMAT cannot be substituted for the GRE. The minimum TOEFL scores required are: Paper-based TOEFL: 550, Listening/Comprehension: 53, for Computer-based TOEFL: 213, Listening/Comprehension: 20, Internet-based TOEFL: 79/80, Listening/Comprehension: 19, IELTS: 6.5 Listening/Comprehension: 7. All international students who must take the TOEFL for admission are also required to demonstrate proficiency in English by either passing the English Entry Exam or completing a course in English for Non-Native Speakers. The English entrance exam is required in addition to the TOEFL for admission. Applicants for admission, who have satisfactory high school records, including at least a 3.0 average in the required high school academic units and who submit other appropriate evidence that they can achieve successful academic progress in the University, including the appropriate SAT or ACT test scores, are academically eligible for admission consideration.
