Course summary
This program offers solid preparation in languages, literatures and cultures of the target language, in addition to teaching metholody and research in the field of foreign languages. Students produce a single thesis or portfolio for the joint degree. The joint M.A. is a good choice for students interested in teaching in the U.S. or abroad and for those who want to continue their studies at the Ph.D. level.

Entry requirement for international students
Applicant should have completed a baccalaureate degree with at least five years of appropriate professional experience and an undergraduate GPA of below 3.0; or they should have enrolled in a bachelor's degree program at Colorado State University and who have completed at least 75 credits of course work toward their degrees, including 15 credits in upper division courses required by their major, with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above. Applicants are required to have obtained a minimum TOEFL score of 213 (computer based), 550 (paper based), or 80 (internet based); or a minimum IELTS score of 6.0.
