Course summary
This program is based upon the assumption that responsible social and public policy, decision-making, and reform in today’s complex society require a broad academic experience. The education fosters critical thinking, a strong theoretical foundation, solid research methods skills, and an awareness of the key philosophical principles associated with the administration of justice.
Program modules
The modules are Core Courses 12 hours: CRJ 800, 870, 888 and 808 or 875; Eight Electives or Six Electives plus Thesis 24 hours; Exit Requirements: GRD 897b - (Non-Thesis); GRD 898c - (Thesis).
Entry requirement for international students
Students must hold a baccalaureate degree from a regionally from an accredited institution of higher learning with a 3.0 grade point average overall or in the last 60 hours of undergraduate course work and combined score of 850 on the verbal and math sections and a 4.0 on the written section of the Graduate Record Examination. They must have obtained a minimum TOEFL score of 550 on paper, 79 for internet-based, or 213 by computer is needed on the test to be accepted at Eastern.
