Course summary
This program provides research and educational opportunities leading to MS or PhD degrees in Radiological Health Sciences and focuses on the role of radiation in inducing, diagnosing, and treating cancer. Specific research areas include, but are not limited to , the assessment of cancer risks to space flight crews from exposure to galactic cosmic radiation, exploring the effects of low dose radiation exposures, DNA repair, telomere biology, mutagenesis, bystander effects, and tumor miroenvironment.

The modules are as follows: ERHS 530 (3) Radiological Physics and Dosimetry I, ERHS 550 (5) Principles of Radiation Biology, BC 401 (3) Comprehensive Biochemistry I, BC 403 (3) Comprehensive Biochemistry II, (3) Statistics (several options), ERHS 770 (1) Radiation Biology Basic to Tumor Therapy, ERHS 699 (Var) Thesis.
Entry requirement for international students
Applicant should have completed a baccalaureate degree with at least five years of appropriate professional experience and an undergraduate GPA of below 3.0; or they should have enrolled in a bachelor's degree program at Colorado State University and who have completed at least 75 credits of course work toward their degrees, including 15 credits in upper division courses required by their major, with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above. Applicants are required to have obtained a minimum TOEFL score of 213 (computer based), 550 (paper based), or 80 (internet based); or a minimum IELTS score of 6.0.
