Course summary
This program prepares individuals to work as program developers, teachers, and trainers in formal and informal settings such as educational institutions, business and industry, community agencies, health care organizations, and continuing and professional education. Students will learn to analyze training needs as well as design, deliver, and evaluate training programs. Other job opportunities include program designer, training technologist, needs assessment analyst, researcher, transition specialist, career development advisor, training consultant, and employer marketing. This 36 semester hour program may be completed on either a full-time or a part-time basis. Most courses are offered in the evenings or at other times convenient for working adults.

The modules include DEV 510 Utilizing Effective Instructional Techniques, TDEV 511 Managing the Instructional Environment, TDEV 527 Developing Instructional Resources, TDEV 552 Introduction to Training and Development, TDEV 553 Management Development for Educators and Trainers, TDEV 597 Theories of Adult Learning, TDEV 597 Survey Design and Assessment, HIED 595 Research Methodologies.
Entry requirement for international students
Applicants should have an accredited bachelor’s degree or higher degree at a U.S. regionally accredited university and a successful completion of English Language Institute (ELI) with an overall grade of B. They should have a GMAT total score of 500 with 20 verbal or GRE total score of 1000. International applicants must have obtained a minimum TOEFL score of 500 for paper-based testing (PBT) or 173 on computer-based testing (CBT) or 60 internet-based testing (IBT) and a minimum IELTS score of 5.0 overall band.
