Course summary
The Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology MFT track is designed to train counselors in the treatment of premarital, marital, family, child, and other relationship dysfunctions. It includes theoretical and experiential work with a focus on the development of practical and appropriate clinical skills. The MFT track of the program is based on regulations provided by the Board of Behavioral Science and on guidelines suggested by the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy and the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists. Coursework is designed to prepare the student for the California MFT license examination.
