Course summary
This program is intended to provide students with a strong background in anthropological concepts, their use in archaeological reasoning and analysis, and a firm grasp of the techniques and methods unique to archaeological practice. By completing this program, students should have the appropriate background for either continuing to graduate school in archaeology/anthropology, or seeking employment in archaeological work in the private sector or in local, state or federal governments.
Entry requirement for international students
Students must have an overall quality of high school courses and appropriately challenging coursework, academic performance in high school, including the cumulative grade point average from the first year of high school through the junior year of high school. They should possess the basic subject requirements such as three years of history and social Science, mathematics, four years of English, two years of laboratory science and language other than English, 1 year of visual and performing arts and college preparatory electives. They must have a 2.7 GPA in anthropology. International applicants and permanent residents must submit the results of the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) exam when English is not their first language with a minimum acceptable TOEFL score is 79 on Internet based, 213 on computer based, or 550 paper based is required for admission.
