Course summary
The program is designed to accomplish three goals: to ground the student in a regional language and culture (Chinese or Japanese), to survey various disciplines in Asian Studies more broadly, and to provide advanced research opportunities in the upperclass years. The program, when successfully completed, prepares the student for further graduate work, professional education, or employment in the public or private sector.

The modules include Asia 91 Elementary Asian Language and Culture Abroad; Asia 191 Intermediate Asian Language and Culture Abroad; Chin, Jpns 91 Language and Culture Abroad I; Chin, Jpns 191 Language and Culture Abroad II; Chin 001 Beginning Chinese Reading and Writing.
Entry requirement for international students
Applicants must submit SAT or ACT scores. For those whose first language is not English should submit TOEFL scores.
