Course summary
The core courses provide the necessary programming, architectural and mathematical foundation for all later course work. The upper level required and elective courses provide both breadth and depth of application and theory across the various fields in computer science. During the capstone experience, students work in teams with other majors in the department to do requirements analysis, design, implementation and evaluation of a complex, real-world enterprise system. This major supports a student who wishes to work as a computer science professional in industry and/or to pursue graduate studies.

Entry requirement for international students
Applicant must have completed the units of high school coursework. A unit represents a year’s study of a subject and a well-rounded high school academic program might include the following: English 4 units, Mathematics 3 units, Social Studies 2 units, Natural Science 2 units, and academic electives (foreign language, additional units of math, science, etc). They must demonstrate English language proficiency by submitting scores from the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) with a score of 550 or higher.
