Course summary

This program is intended for undergraduate students interested in the application of geological and engineering data and principles to the study of rock, soil, and water to recognize and interpret geological and environmental factors affecting engineering structures and groundwater resources. Students learn to characterize and assess the risks associated with natural geological hazards, such as landslides and earthquakes, and with groundwater flow and contamination. The curriculum prepares students for graduate programs and professional careers in engineering, environmental geology, geology, geotechnical engineering, and hydrogeology.

Entry requirement for international students

Students whose native language is not in English should have the TOEFL score of 110 on the IBT (Internet-based test) or 637 on the PBT (Paper-based test). Students following the British educational system should submit an O-level and A-level result (or predicted results) is required for admission.
