The courses are - Introduction to Literary Study, Linguistics, Literature in English I, Literature in English II, British Literature before 1800, American Literature, African-American Literature, Anglo-Irish Literature, Legends Past and Present, Literature and Sexuality, Literature and the Natural Environment, Literature of Travel, Multicultural American Literature, Mythology, Women in Literature.
Entry requirement for international students
Students applying for this course must have copies of high school or secondary school documents stamped "attested as true copies" by an educational official from your school, council, or embassy/consulate. Students whose native language is not English are required to take English Language proficiency exams. An official TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) or IELTS (International English Language Testing System) or MELAB (Michigan English Assessment Battery) is acceptable. Acceptable TOEFL scores are 550+ on the paper and pencil test or 79+ on the Internet-based test. Acceptable IELTS score is 7 or higher on either the academic paper and pencil test or the academic computer-based test. The minimum acceptable score is 76 for MELAB. Students are also required to take ACT or SAT exams.
