Course summary
Our Master of Acupuncture (M.Ac.) program is uniquely structured relative to other accredited programs nationwide. The most distinctive feature is that during the first two academic years of full-time study, classroom instruction is presented in periodic 14-day teaching intensives, instead of the customary weekly classes offered at most other schools. Teaching intensives typically occur once every four months. Students are required to be physically present in Florida for the entire duration of these two-week intensives, and must attend classes on all required days. After the intensives are over, students return home, where they complete homework, other intersession assignments and complete additional corequisite courses. This teaching structure permits students from all over the country to enroll in our program without having to relocate physically to Florida during the first two years of the program.
Entry requirement for international students
Applicants who have a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited U.S. institution or any graduate or professional degree (e.g., M.A., Ph.D., M.B.A., R.N.) from an accredited program will generally meet this minimum requirement. Applicants with a 2-year college degree (e.g., an Associate's degree) may need to take additional course credits prior to matriculation to meet this 80 credit requirement.
