Course summary
This concentration in creative writing (33 hours; 12 hours may be in an optional minor field). A committee formed by the Program Director, in cooperation with the student, will assess the student on the comprehensive exam; the Director of Creative Writing will be the student's advisor-director in the writing of the creative thesis.

Entry requirement for international students
Applicants for the Master of Arts degree in English must hold a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university. Admission to the program requires the program director's endorsement, which will be based on evaluation of the following elements: Prior academic performance, evaluated in regard to overall GPA, GPA in all course work in English, overall Upper-level GPA, fulfillment of necessary prerequisites (see below), previous graduate course work, and the dates of completion of previous academic work
