Course summary
This program is designed to help students to develop the skills they need to leverage information technology to enhance business competitiveness, assess the impact of advances in technology on business, and interact effectively with executive management as a strategic business partner. People who choose this specialization are often pursuing management and director-level positions in IT functions that require both information technology and business expertise.

Core modules include: Professional Effectiveness: Stretch, Impact, Reposition MBA6010, Leading for Results MBA6020, Marketing and Brand Management MBA6110, Operations and Process Management MBA6130, Applied Managerial Statistics MBA6140, Accounting MBA6150, Financial Management MBA6160, Managing Information Assets and Technology MBA6180 and Strategy MBA6190. Specialization modules include: Impact of Advances in Information Technology MBA6182, Techniques for Managing Information Technology Professionals MBA6184, Strategic Information System Planning MBA6186 and Project Planning, Management, and Financial Control MBA6231. In addition students should choose 2 from the following: Sales and Customer Relationship Management MBA6120, Building Relationships MBA6210, Developing and Coaching Others MBA6220, Leading Teams MBA6230, Facilitating Change MBA6240, Leveraging Workplace Diversity MBA6250, Negotiating for Results MBA6260 and Regulatory and Ethical Environment of Business MBA6270. Capstone module to be taken in the final quarter is Information Technology Management Capstone: Judgment, Planning, and Action MBA6380.
Entry requirement for international students
Students must have completed bachelor's degree from an institution accredited by a U.S. Department of Education-recognized accrediting agency or an internationally recognized institution. They should possess a cumulative GPA of 2.3 from a bachelor's degree granting institution. International students whose language of instruction is not English are required to take one of the following tests: the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) with a minimum acceptable score of 550 on paper-based test, 213 on computer-based test with a score of 4.0 or higher on the Test of Written English (TWE), or 79 on internet based examination; Michigan English Language Assessment Battery (MELAB) score of 80; International English Language Testing System (IELTS) with a score of 6.5; or Pearson Test of English (PTE) score of 59.
