Course summary
This program is ideally suited for individuals needing advanced training in various business subjects such as accounting, marketing, economics, statistics, human resource management and quantitative skills. Students lacking an undergraduate background in business will find an opportunity to enroll in foundation business and management courses through NAU. Students will: demonstrate the ability to integrate knowledge of accounting, marketing, management information systems, organizational behavior, finance, economics, operations management, and quantitative analysis; demonstrate the ability to collect and analyze information and data in order to formulate analytically sound decisions and understand their likely consequences; demonstrate the verbal and written communication skills required of executive-level employees; identify and manage ethical issues and multicultural diversity issues; demonstrate the ability to utilize technology in multiple ways to achieve project and/or organizational goals; demonstrate leadership ability and team-building skills through such arenas as class projects and involvement in student, community or professional organizations.

The modules of Health Care Administration Emphasis are HA6500 Fiscal and Regulatory Issues in Health Services; HA6510 Global Issues in Health Care; HA6520 Health Care Administration and Policy Seminar. The modules of Human Resource Management Emphasis are MT6300 Managing Human Resources; MT6310 Training and Development in Human Resource Management; MT6320 Employee Evaluation and Compensation; LA6570 Human Resource Law. Entry requirement for international students
Students must have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution of higher learning; a minimum grade point average of 2.75 achieved for all undergraduate work, or; a minimum grade point average of 2.9 achieved for the last one-half of the credits earned toward a bachelor's degree, or; a minimum grade point average of 3.0 in two or more graduate level courses taken at a regionally-accredited institution of higher learning or recognized foreign equivalent. International students must have an official TOEFL score of 550 paper-based or 213 computer-based or better, and an official TWE score of 3 or better is required. Students submitting a TOEFL score between 197 and 213 computer-based or between 530 and 550 paper-based may be provisionally admitted and are required to take the English proficiency evaluation conducted by the ESL department at the university. Students submitting a TWE score lower than 3, or who have not taken the TWE test are required to take a composition exam administered by the ESL department.
