Courses in the Major Field: Three hours from the following courses: ENG 5023, Advanced Creative Writing, ENG 5083, Introduction to Linguistics, ENG 6013, Seminar: Composition Theory, ENG 6533, Teaching Writing in the Schools. Three hours from the following courses: ENG 6133, Methods of World Literature Study, ENG 6153, Methods of British Literature Study, ENG 6173, Methods of American Literature Study, Fifteen hours of English electives, Minimum hours required for this program: 30

Entry requirement for international students

Students should Obtaining a minimum 60% in English at X and XII in Certificate in India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Pakistan. Students should have a Notarized or Original Copy of University Diploma or Provisional Graduation Certificate without any conditions stating that Bachelor’s Degree awarded. Official or Notarized Copy of all University Transcripts in English with a minimum GPA of 2.75 (some programs might require higher GPA) Proof of English Proficiency Completing ASU’s ESL Program Minimum grade of 90% or above. TOEFL – Paper-Based 550, TOEFL – Computer-Based 213, TOEFL – Internet-Based 79. IELTS – Academic 6.0.- Official Score from British Council. English as Official Language CIA World Fact Book. Students having Conditional Admission. High School Graduate (minimum 2 years of attendance) from USA, UK, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. MSE students are required to take either the GRE or the Miller Analogies Test. MA students are exempt from these exams.
