Course summary

The Nursing Administrator Focus prepares the Nurse Administrator, Manager, and/or Executive for diverse practice settings in the healthcare system. These settings may include small facilities, integrated delivery systems, larger corporate-owned facilities, ambulatory settings, organizational and academic settings, as well as nontraditional environments. Essential inclusion in these practice settings are entrepreneurial partnerships and interdisciplinary collaboration. The Nurse Administrator, Manger, or Nurse Executive will develop skills as the catalyst and role model, providing leadership and direction, consistent with the mission and value of an organization. He/She will be responsible for creating a work environment that facilitates and encourages nursing staff to demonstrate accountability for their own practice, utilizing critical thinking and effective decision making. This Nurse Leader will acquire knowledge to ensure the development, implementation and evaluation of policies, programs, and services that are evidence-based and consistent with professional standards and values. Preparation for organizational analysis, strategic planning, financial and human resources management and professional development is included.

Entry requirement for international students

Students should hold a B.S.N. degree from an accredited institution.Obtaining a minimum 60% in English at X and XII in Certificate in India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Pakistan. Students should have a Notarized or Original Copy of University Diploma or Provisional Graduation Certificate without any conditions stating that Bachelor’s Degree awarded. Official or Notarized Copy of all University Transcripts in English with a minimum GPA of 2.75 (some programs might require higher GPA) Proof of English Proficiency Completing ASU’s ESL Program Minimum grade of 90% or above. TOEFL – Paper-Based 550, TOEFL – Computer-Based 213, TOEFL – Internet-Based 79. IELTS – Academic 6.0.- Official Score from British Council. English as Official Language CIA World Fact Book. Students having Conditional Admission. High School Graduate (minimum 2 years of attendance) from USA, UK, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. Submit evidence of a score of 790 or higher on the combined verbal and quantitative sections of the Graduate Record Examination (GRE).
