Course summary
The Adult Health Nursing option consists of core and support courses as well as clinical course work to prepare the student for advanced roles as a Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) or Nurse Educator. Preparation for clinical nurse specialists requires 540 hours of clinical practicum. Nurse educators engage in 420 hours of clinical practicum and complete a nursing education practicum. Study in this option may be pursued on a full and part-time basis. The majority of core and support courses are available online. Specialty courses and nursing educator courses are web-enhanced. Classes may be held using the interactive video network.
Entry requirement for international students
Students should hold a B.S.N. degree from an accredited institution.Obtaining a minimum 60% in English at X and XII in Certificate in India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Pakistan. Students should have a Notarized or Original Copy of University Diploma or Provisional Graduation Certificate without any conditions stating that Bachelor’s Degree awarded. Official or Notarized Copy of all University Transcripts in English with a minimum GPA of 2.75 (some programs might require higher GPA) Proof of English Proficiency Completing ASU’s ESL Program Minimum grade of 90% or above. TOEFL – Paper-Based 550, TOEFL – Computer-Based 213, TOEFL – Internet-Based 79. IELTS – Academic 6.0.- Official Score from British Council. English as Official Language CIA World Fact Book. Students having Conditional Admission. High School Graduate (minimum 2 years of attendance) from USA, UK, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. Submit evidence of a score of 790 or higher on the combined verbal and quantitative sections of the Graduate Record Examination (GRE).
