Course summary
Alverno’s MSN program provides the opportunity for in-depth study of nursing practice; the nature of human development and learning in social, cultural and practice contexts; and the processes for practitioner-based inquiry. This program is designed specifically for practicing professionals interested in demonstrating the outcomes expected of advanced practice nurses (APNs) at the Master's level. This accredited MSN program, available to women and men, carries on the college's tradition in the professional liberal arts, with Alverno's particular focus on integrative, experiential, and reflective approaches to learning.

Entry requirement for international students
Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree in nursing from a college or university accredited by a nursing accreditation agency approved by the Department of Education. They should possess a current, unencumbered registered nurse license in the State of Wisconsin or multi-state compact. Satisfactory completion of an undergraduate physical assessment course or equivalent is required. They must have active engagement in the practice of nursing for a minimum of one year or 2080 a current CPR certification. Admission requirements also include the test scores of TOEFL, IELTS or STEP, the minimum requirements of which are as follows: TOEFL: 600 (written) 250 (computer) 100 (internet); IELTS: 7.0; STEP: Grade 1.
