The modules are as follows: Fundamentals of Urban Planning, Planning Research Methods I (Quantitative Analysis), Planning Research Methods II (Applied Research Methods in Planning), Population and Economic Analysis, Site Planning, Land Use Planning, Community Facilities Planning, Environmental Planning, Environmental Assessment, Hazardous Waste Management, Natural Resource Management Policy, etc.

Entry requirement for international students

Students should have a master’s degree for entering into Ph.D., and a bachelor degree for those entering into master’s program. They are required to have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 GPA scale at the undergraduate level from a regionally accredited college/university. They should have a minimum TOEFL score of 500 (paper-based test), 173 (computer-based test) or 61 (internet-based test). They are required provide an evidence of receipt for the degree, comparable to the American bachelor's degree, which normally terminates 16 years of full-time study, 4 years of which are at the post-high school level. They must have a minimum score of 400 on the verbal and a combined verbal and quantitative score of 800 on the GRE. Some programs may require higher GRE scores (see departmental sections for detail). MBA students are required to have a minimum GMAT score of 350.
