Course summary
This program is designed for managers and executives who desire a more thorough understanding of information systems and how those systems impact business planning and operations. This program combines advanced knowledge of management disciplines with a fundamental working knowledge of information systems practices. It provides the managerial perspective on the integration of information technology with business applications; and emphasizes networking, teamwork, and hands on project-based learning. Students will develop practical expertise through case analyses and presentations, interaction with business practitioners, and team projects.
Program modules
The modules are MIS 5101 (520): Database Management and Warehousing; MIS 5102 (530): Business Systems Analysis; MIS 5108 (575): Information Technology Strategy, Policy and Management.
Entry requirement for international students
Applicant must have completed bachelor’s degree comparable to the U.S. equivalent with an average GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale. They should have obtained GMAT score of 655 and GRE scores at or about 600 in either quantitative or verbal section are usually competitive. In addition to this, they should have minimum TOEFL scores of 550 for paper based test, 213 for computer based test and 79 for internet based test; or IELTS academic score of 6.5.
