Course summary
This program provides students with a strong theoretical background while teaching students how to think strategically in a multitude of financial situations. The curriculum includes concentration courses in investments, corporate finance, international finance, and financial institutions and markets. Through the rigorous curriculum, students gain a strong understanding of the principles of finance, how these principles apply in international business, and how to use quantitative techniques to create effective results. MBA candidates may pursue dual specialty areas; as many as 12 elective credits may be selected from SU graduate programs outside of the Whitman School.

Entry requirement for international students
Students must have completed a bachelor's degree or its equivalent from another country. International students must have graduated from colleges or universities that are recognized by the national educational authorities of their home countries. Students from Canada need to have a three-year bachelor's degree from Quebec or a four-year bachelor's degree from the other provinces. Students from Latin America should have a university degree requiring four years of study. Students from France and other countries following the French system must have a degree or diploma requiring four years of study after the baccalaureate (usually the maitrise). Students from Germany must have completed a diploma. Students from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Nepal are required to have a bachelor's degree in engineering or a master's degree in any other field. Students from other Asian and European countries need to have a university degree requiring four years of study. Students from United Kingdom and countries following the British pattern should possess a bachelor's degree with honors. International students must have obtained a minimum TOEFL score of 100 internet-based is required.
