Course summary
This specialization is designed to strengthen students ability to use quantitative and qualitative data to assist individuals and organizations with planning and decision making. The curriculum includes course work in inferential statistics, research methods, data analysis, survey construction, and program evaluation. People who choose this specialization are often pursuing research or upper-level positions in research, assessment, and analysis with higher education, credentialing, or accrediting agencies.

Specialization modules include: PSY7615 - Data Analysis with SPSS, PSY7625 - Advanced Inferential Statistics, PSY7630 - Qualitative Analysis, PSY7656 - Advanced Research Methods, PSY7660 - Survey Construction and Administration, PSY8763 - Program Evaluation and PSY5201 - Integrative Project for Master’s Degree in Psychology.
Entry requirement for international students
Students must have completed bachelor's degree from an institution accredited by a U.S. Department of Education-recognized accrediting agency or an internationally recognized institution. They should possess a cumulative GPA of 2.3 from a bachelor's degree granting institution. International students whose language of instruction is not English are required to take one of the following tests: the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) with a minimum acceptable score of 550 on paper-based test, 213 on computer-based test with a score of 4.0 or higher on the Test of Written English (TWE), or 79 on internet based examination; Michigan English Language Assessment Battery (MELAB) score of 80; International English Language Testing System (IELTS) with a score of 6.5; or Pearson Test of English (PTE) score of 59.
