Course summary
This course in particular will help students to prepare for required aptitude tests (MCAT, DAT, PCAT, and OAT). The vast majority of qualified pre-professional majors from Tennessee Tech are accepted into professional schools in Tennessee or elsewhere. This pre-professional major must take certain courses required for admission to professional schools while at Tennessee Tech, but they may pursue any major in order to work toward a degree. Students in certain pre-professional health science areas have the option of obtaining a B.S. from Tennessee Tech University degree by completing three years at Tennessee TTU and one year at a professional school, providing they are admitted into a clinical program after the third year of undergraduate work.

Entry requirement for international students
Students should be a graduate from a secondary school and be at least 16 years of age. All international students whose native language is not English must have an official Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score of at least 500 (paper based test) or 173 (computer-based test) or 61 (internet Based TOEFL) submitted prior to admission. Students who have less than a 2.00 high school GPA or less than a 17 ACT Composite score will be reviewed by the Admissions Review Committee. They should demonstrate competence in basic courses at the secondary level that are closely related to the intended major program of study at the University.
