Course summary
Physician's Assistant (PA) training programs are a relatively recent addition to the biomedically oriented undergraduate student's career options. Postgraduate PA training is widely available in northern California. These programs are competitive and require an extensive science background similar to medical schools. The Option in Cellular and Molecular Biology will fulfill these minimum requirements. Entry requirement for international students
Students must be a high school graduate with a 3.0 (B in the US) or very good average. They should have three years of university - preparatory mathematics courses including at least Beginning Algebra, Geometry, and Intermediate Algebra. The SAT-I is not required for admission except for freshmen students with 3 or more years of high school study in the US. International students whose native is not English must demonstrate proficiency in English language by TOEFL or IELTS scores; the official international score of TOEFL is 500 on the paper-based exam, 173 on the computer-based exam, or 61 on the iBT internet-based TOEFL. For IELTS band 6 is required.
