I would like to advice students to start preparing for CFA, which is a part of this course before actually coming here. As it will really help them academically. A lot of self study is required for this course.
I wrote the IELTS. I took coaching classes for it. I came through the Chopras. I needed a student visa though I did not have an interview. I flew Virgin Atlantic and my flight was good. They did not give any student fare however they gave me an extra baggage allowance. I landed at Heathrow Airport in London. Exeter is around three hours by train from London. I did not take the university Meet and Greet service as I came earlier than the session start.
I am not very happy with the program structure. There is scope for improvement especially for such an intensive course as mine. The lecture halls as well as the library are very good.
I am living in university accommodation. I live in a studio flat. I quite like the weather in the UK. Exeter social scene is also pretty good. It is not very easy to get part time jobs in the city. There is an international student society in the university.
We do not have any placement cell. It is not very easy for international students to get jobs here in these times of a recession. I have no idea about the Alumni and if they offer any employment help.
