Having graduated seven years ago and worked full time in the arts, it was daunting and exciting to return to full time education. I wanted a postgraduate course that gave the work I was doing an academic grounding, but also allowed me to develop new ideas.
The course in the Drama Department has a unique focus, allowing me to explore performance from various viewpoints and offers an enviable mix of academic and practical work. The fact that Bristol is a strong university appealed to me. I hope completing my course will leave me with a more structured way of thinking, a wealth of ideas and a renewed passion for thee arts which I can carry into my career.
On arrival I realised that Bristol itself was just as much of a draw. Cafes, restaurants, independent clothes shops, beautiful architecture and ample green spaces. Everywhere is close. Most places are within 20 minutes of each other.
