Academia is the best institute as it provides the students with real industry knowledge. I am really enjoying my college life. Everybody is very friendly here from the staff to the tutors and the students. I come from a country with English as a second language so the tutors make sure that we understand by using simple words and explaining slowly for the whole class to understand. The staff here is helpful and friendly and make you feel comfortable and at home and enjoy yourself while you are at school.

There are no scholarship facilities for students in this institute
I am doing a patisserie course so my basic areas of study are prepare and produce cakes, basic food preparation, prepare and display petits fours, prepare and display marzipan, prepare and produce pastries, etc. My best bits are the practical sessions as this is where we get to improve on our food preparation and get to learn more stuff as well. In a week I study for 3-4 hrs. My lectures are easy to follow and the tutors are very supportive. My course is a real value for money.
The facilities include 8 kitchens plus training at Langham Hotel. We also have counselling and internet facilities. I like the city as I love shopping so what more can I seek than shopping in the city here. The fellow students and some of the locals are friendly. I live in a rented house with my other flatmates. We share our bills so it is a value for money. It is not very easy to find a part-time job. I am not sure about the student union and we don’t have any clubs either.
The job prospect is great. I wish to study more and open my restaurant in the future. I will join the alumni if there is one.
