When I thought about Iowa State I didn't think it was this amazing - the high standard and rigorous programs. What's surprised me is how my perspective of the university has changed. I had a whole different idea before.

There is a compelling and motivating vibe given off by all the determined, hard working students. The style of teaching is unique, and the content of the courses that I'm taking makes you think critically, innovatively, and push yourself.

The opportunities are amazing. Before coming to a university I was always thinking I want to do this but maybe I can't - maybe they don't have it. There are all these clubs at Iowa State. There are international student organizations that are a good time. I think being an Iowa State student is pretty cool.
