Not very difficult to gain admission as long as you get your information early. The administration staff are really helpful in making sure the process is not very stressful.

There were a few scholarship programs available although I did not secure any funding myself. If you want to do research, there is a lot of funding available!

Although the lecturers were internationally renowned researchers, I somehow felt like I didn't quite gained what I had initially intended to learn. The research emphasis of the university tended to hinder the actual educational experience.

Excellent facilities - although Canberra is a relatively quiet area, I had a great time. Its important to establish a close group of friends. Part time work is relatively easy to find as there are large malls around the campus. Accomodation is very expensive and difficult to find, especially during the peak periods! Get in early!
