This place will suit students who are seeking to learn ”out of the box“, rather than mugging with our notes and textbooks days and nights.

Not difficult to be enrolled here since I'm a Singaporean

Republic poly adopts a unique system call PBL (problem based-learning) where students will be will trained to do presentation, discussions and public speaking here. Instead of using textbooks, we use the internet as our main resource to solve different problems in our modules every day. This kind of learning will suit students who are seeking to learn ”out of the box“, rather than mugging with our notes and textbooks days and nights. There were lecturers (or we call them facilitators) are quite sociable and easy to talk to, and they give good advices regarding our future career paths.

Republic Poly is basically a school with powerful, massive numbers of routers and high-speed internet access from almost anywhere in the school. (and yes I really do mean anywhere) Furthermore, the campus is air-conditioned, so the scorching and humid weather will not be able to get on your nerves. The other thing to talk about is the food in Republic polytechnic; we have 3 food courts (one of them is air-conditioned), 2 cafes and the latest addition of a new bistro/café in the library which students who are seeking to chill after class can get to enjoy movies, game of pool, foosball and of course the food. Oh yes, I forgot to include our very one RP library where the ”be quiet“ rule doesn’t apply here at all. Students can get to mingle, read, research, playing music and etc, to enable them to feel more comfortable in their learning journey here.

Well in RP, we are quite trained to speak confidently in public so yes, my job prospect has increased as a result of my studies. Also, I will definitely keep in teach with my fellow alumni as I made several good friends there. Well, every polytechnic in Singapore has a alumni club right? so yes, there's membership for us to join.
