I chose ANU because of the fantastic reputation that the International Relations program has. At every open day I attended, at all the other universities, all I heard about was how good the faculty was at the ANU. When I first arrived I knew I had made the right choice, it was summer, everything was green and the campus looked great. I still think the ANU has the best campus in Australia.
For me the University has offered so many opportunities. I am currently on the Washington Internship, that was offered by the Faculty of Arts. ANU has made my degree a practical one.
I participate in many events and activities within my college, Burton and Garran Hall. I am also the newly elected Vice-President of the ANU Club Hispano, the Spanish language club on campus. Within my college I participate in both sporting and artistic events, even playing representative sport for the college. I am also one of the college librarians and an academic mentor. I have been a SIGN mentor and I worked for the International Education Office as part of their 'Meet and Greet' program. ANU is a very comfortable place for me, I have made so many good friends at the university, and have such a great time.
