The facilities are OK not the best, better than a uni I went to (not in NSW). They're currently upgrading a facility on campus specifically for our year so we won't have to share a building. Haven't done anything with clubs/societies etc. Train station about 1km away, you can walk. Blacktown is the main nearest hub. There's places to eat at the tafe, but if you wanna go to maccas or something you would have to go to Mt Druitt or something.

I had no problems applying through the UCAS, and did not use an agent. I also got my visa very easily. The university really helped with the travel bit, as they provided transport from Heathrow the first time we came. This is really useful. Also, all students must make sure their papers are in order and they have originals and photocopies of all official documents when they travel.

I missed the deadline for one scholarship, the Vice Chancellor's Scholarship. However, the University gave me a scholarship for 1000 pounds per year, because I had good results in Class 12. The Exeter website is good for the scholarships. Search in terms of country and department for scholarships. Also postgraduates are more likely to get scholarships from private funds, such as the commonwealth foundation etc.

My course is really fun! We have only 9-10 hours of lectures and tutorials a week, but we have to do loads of readuing on our own and everything. Its a little tough sometimes, to write the essays and stuff, especially in the beginning, but since 1st year isn't counted in your degree, you can make your mistakes then! My lecturers and tutors are quite helpful, but you have to go up to them if you can't understand, which is obvious I guess! Also University arranged fior some study help and everything in Welcome Week, which was good. They also have an centre where you can go and get help. My department has a personal tutor system, who gives a sort of review on your work, and also helps you with any generic study problems. The tutors can be very good, but that experience depends on the individual tutor you have! The course is great overall- although it may not be value for money exactly. However, that's only if you do nothing else in University except study! When seen from the perspective that you're paying for the entire experience of University, not just the course- its great!

Campus facilities are great, but a little expensive. Especially the sports facilities! The city centre is walking distance and it has all the great shops, with a really pretty Cathedral as well! The local people are generally really friendly, and so are the students on campus. Societies are also really fun to get involved in, and its a great way to get to know people with similar interests. The student union is great, with lots of resteraunts, a club and a few student shops as well. There's a bank, bookstore and general purpose shop on campus which is really convenient. Just sign up to lots of mailing lists in Welcome Week, so that you get emails about events. There's always something happening! There are International Societies, and even faith-based societies (There is an Indian Society). The International Soc, also organises lots of trips around the UK, which are great fun! Basically, Exeter is a place where you'll find something for any sort of interest that you have!

Since I haven't completed my degree, I can't comment on job prospects. But the careers centre is always running courses for employability, and there's a job centre called the Works on campus which gets great jobs!
