Uni is the best! well compared to highs school anyway. theres always something going on such as events functions and parties. also the people are very laid back and its such a good place to make new friends. however theres a serious side to uni as well. despite the immense amount of time people spend slacking off and partying it up throughout the semester people generally tend to get their act together during assesment and exam period. its a very 'work hard and play even harder' environment. like i said right at the start uni is the best!
for the application of getting into my current university i went about it thorught the help of the VTAC program. in all honesty it is not the best procedure that the government has in place for young students who are still unclear about their future career paths. there is too many things about the process that is unexplained or is ambigious for the young students.
scholarship or funding opurtunities are all on the websites of each educational institutions. there are various aspects that an individual can apply to get a scholarship. for example there are merit based scholarships which award the highest academic achievers with funding that can further asist in the educational endeavours. there are also funding options available for individuals who are from a low-socio economic background medically impaired and funding of accomodations for those who are considered to be living too far away from campus. the best way to find out about them is to look through the scholarships and bursaries sections of various institutes that you are applying for. it will provide you with the different alternative funding options available and how to apply for them.
i absolutely love the course that i am doing. its a double major of Banking Finance and Econometrics. i believe that this combination will be very beneficial in applying for a job after graduation. as my main interest is in becoming a financial planner for a large industry i do believe that the econometrics background will be a very good complimentary course that will enable me to analyse and predict the trends in the financial markets. the university has made the course very enjoyable by selecting very qualified and experienced lecturers and tutors who also have the ability to engage with the students effectively. the course has been shaped to adapt the real-life scenarios that will be faced by us in the near future. i beleive that this technique will assist us to be the best equipped for the real industrial work. therefore i believe that the couse was a very good for money. the experience and knowledge that i have obtained from here will inevitably assist me to prosper in my respective industry. this in turn will hopefully allow me to acquire a respectful job where the income is significantly high. therefore i believe that the money spent for the course will be a good investment. what i have to someone considering doing the same course is that it is a fantastic course! it doesnt really feel like your studying when you do the work. you can see the direct relation between what you are learning and what goes on in the real work. the course basically teaches you how to make money in the future which is a pretty good incentive to do your homework. also theres only like 12 hours of uni per week so theres plenty of time to go out and have fun.
the best things about my course is that it shows you real-life examples of how to become rich and also shows you ways to become a profienct individual in the workforce. another great things about the course is that theres only 12 hours of classes. this has enabled me to keep a part-time job and thus more money in my pocket.
i do believe that my job prospects after university has definitely increased as a result of my studies. the university itselt has enabled me to interact with alumis who are in a very high level in their respective fields. by giving me the oppurtunities to meet these signigicant members of our society i highly believe that it has opened a lot of doors for me in relation to finding a job after graduation.
