university is a very friendly orientated place i love how we can organise our own timetables the huge variety of resources and support aviable to students. At time i have had to stay on campus and it felt like my second home.
Well as i was applying for a distance course i applied striaght through the uni and found it easy to fill out forms they were simple and limited. I got a reply instatnly which said i was successfull which i was not expecting so quick.
The university send all students emails about relevant scholarshiops so they make it accessible easy also on the website there is a link you can got to for more scholarships i have not yet applied for one but hope to in the futre.
So far the course itself is stressfull the lectures are aviable by email and phone for any quieres but they seem to take a while to reply to you. i had to do some science subjects which cost a lot more and of course more difficult and i am worried about failing and having to pay again i just think that for all subjects in a course it should be the same. I was disapointed that they removed the clinical placements for my course for the first year so i have to wait for year two to go on and get placements. I enjoy the labratory and assignments and they are generous with marking. You have to be very motivated and great at time managemnet for atusding via distance otherwise it isnt worth it because you are pratically your own teacher.
Bathurst campus has great facilities if staying on campus the meals are supplied with accomodation and is great value and also taste great. It has large grass areas to sit and relax the library is great and all the staff are very helpful. There is a large numbers of computers so there is never a time i had to wait for one.
I am certain that it will be easy to find a position once finished my course there is a shortage every where with nurses. However there seems to be not many new graduate programmes which is what i hope to do once finished.
