At 33 years of age I never thought I would even get into University. It has been amazing to pass subjects and feel proud of myself that I can actually do it and I know I will finish it one day.I have really enjoyed the distance education aspect of this course.
It seemed quite easy as I thought I would not get in the first time I tried. I just went and sat the STAT exam and sent my application as early as possible and then got a place.
I didn't have that option I have just deferred payment until I'm working.
I am still studying and probably will be for quite some time. I think if you want a career then it is only a short amount of time really to take out of your life so that you have a great job. The lecturers have been great and the other students are lovely. I want to be a Social Worker so this degree is the way to go.
I am studying part-time by distance education so I don't yet know what the facilities are like but will have to attend residential schools in the future.
Definately with Social Work your job prospects would increase after doing the degree. I hope to even have a job in the last year of my studies.
