I would advice students to maintain a steady work schedule and not pile up the study towards the end.

I took the IELTS as well as the subjective GRE tests before applying. I prepared for these tests on my own. I applied for the Students Visa and the process was quite easy. I flew British Airways, which landed at London Heathrow. I did not get the Students fare, nor any excess baggage. There were no immigration issues at the airport. There was however, a ‘Meet and greet’ program.

I did not receive any scholarship.

I am happy with the way the program was structured. My professors were good, but in some subjects, there was certainly room for improvement. Our Lecture Halls were Good enough, the Library was very good and extensive.

I lived in housing provided by the university, which was overall a good experience. But it could have been less noisy. I did not have a part-time job. The night life in London is very good and so is the social scene in the city. The weather in London is cold, rainy and pretty erratic. LSE has an International Student society which handles events like Festivals, social gatherings etc.

rating

The University does have a placement cell. Having said that, it is not easy for International Students to get jobs and little or no Campus recruitments take place. Annual Placement fairs do take place where global companies attend, where it is up to the student to make the right contacts. The work permit process is difficult. The University has an Alumni society which has an active network. I don't think they help much with placements.
